Providing cutting edge debate, analysis and comment from the people that matter, Public Service Review Science and Technology serves to spread and promote Best Practice and identify crucial policy concerns and opportunities. The publication features expert articles reflecting on the key decisions that will ensure that the UK and Europe continue to lead on scientific developments in a challenging global economic environment.
Public Service Review: Science and Technology places a spotlight on the key issues affecting funding, development, progress, integration, innovation and competitiveness of science, technology and research. The publication brings together an extensive group of science experts from the public and private sectors, academia, government and business.
These are exciting times for science. In the UK, the Science and Innovations Investment Framework 2004-2014 has been further reinforced with Gordon Brown’s pledges in the 2007 budget, with investment in science increasing from £5bn in 2007 to £6.3bn in 2010-2011.
The next decade is crucial. Decisions made now will impact on the wellbeing and prosperity of the next generation. Public Service Review: Science and Technology will be at the centre of it all, analysing key trends, identifying barriers and opportunities, and providing expert insight into the challenges we face, from the people who can make success happen.
The first edition will be published in September 2008, and a notification email will be sent to announce that the publication is online and ready to view.
