AURIL Conference 2009
2009-10-08

We are delighted to announce details of the AURIL Conference 2009. This year the destination is the city of Bristol as voted by you - our members!

To book your place at the conference please click the following link: https://ssl.utvinternet.com/happen/auril/booking_form.asp

The conference will be on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October at the Bristol Marriott Hotel City Centre, a luxury 4 star hotel, which is situated in the centre of Bristol with Cabot Circus on it's doorstep which houses over 120 stores including Harvey Nichols and House of Fraser to name but a few. The Marriott offers spacious rooms with air conditioning, mini-bar, high-speed Internet access, and 24-hour room service. The Mediterranean restaurant features a wonderful selection of international cuisine and fine wines and the Costa Coffee Shop offers breakfast and lunch in a relaxed setting. Delegates will also have complimentary use of the hotel's excellent leisure facilities which include an indoor pool, sauna and steam-room.

The Drinks Reception and Conference Dinner will take place at Brasserie Blanc at Cabot Circus which is the most recently opened restaurant of the famous french chef - Raymond Blanc. Brasserie Blanc offers French classic and modern dishes made with fresh seasonal vegetables and is a place to relax and enjoy 'real French food, close to home'. They are the only brasseries in the United Kingdom to receive the Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Now back to the nitty gritty, we have a Draft Programme available and as you know in the current climate things are changing rapidly. Presently, our view is that the conference theme will build on our 7 May event and will centre around economic development and social impact. This was also the feedback we received from the membership when we carried out our conference content survey earlier in the year - but that exact focus could well change. We are currently working on a Full Programme and will let you know when this becomes available!

The conference will as usual commence at approx 10am on Thursday 8 October and will close with lunch on Friday 9 October - so get the date in your diaries and start booking!!
