AURIL - CPD

AURIL Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is defined as:

“The holistic commitment to structured Knowledge Transfer skills enhancement and to personal and professional Knowledge Transfer competence”.

Experience shows that CPD can lead to promotion and a higher profile for both individual members of AURIL and for Knowledge Transfer as a profession.

AURIL‘s services have always been and will always be CPD-centric and relevant to members’ evolving needs as external environments, organisations and opportunities change.

Given the current economic climate and the need for increasing professionalism in KT, AURIL has pioneered the following key strategic activities to enhance its members’ CPD:

  • Collaboration with the Institute of Knowledge Transfer (IKT), the world's first professional Institute for individuals who are professionally engaged in making the exchange of knowledge more effective.  The ground-breaking agreement encourages AURIL organisational members to join their personal professional institute while providing them with access to relevant IKT activities, services and initiatives - and keeping them up to date on developments in KT CPD.
  •  CPD agreements with a number of relevant commercial and academic training providers to deliver a range of training and development courses, workshops and interventions to support members’ CPD provision using the AURIL CPD Framework as a foundation.
  •  Collation of the AURIL CPD List, consisting of 10 generic CPD activities which aid members’ targeting of KT knowledge and skills.

Underlying AURIL CPD Support

  • AURIL KT CPD Framework - the basis for KT skills and development, with 8 generic managing roles required by KT professionals irrespective of sectors, job descriptions, technologies, organisation or geography.
  • KT Definitions:  quick reference points for KT words and phrases.
  • GINNN:  The KT professional social network and community of practice dedicated to facilitating innovation and business development by bringing together businesses, entrepreneurs, academics, researchers and investors in one place.
