AURIL’s Inspirational Mentoring Scheme 

AURIL places a high value on supporting the membership with their career development and established the Professional Development Framework for Business and Community Engagement in 2013.  We followed this with the related Professional Development Diagnostic Tool for Business and Community Engagement (supported by, and delivered in conjunction with, JISC).

AURIL is not an organisation which actively delivers training courses, nor is it the intention that it would become so.  However, we are committed to supporting our membership through workshops and effective self-help and good practice-sharing networks for knowledge transfer, knowledge exchange and technology transfer professionals.

At AURIL2015 we were delighted to launch an expansion of the Professional Development framework by establishing AURIL’s Inspirational Mentoring Scheme (AIMS) in order to help support and develop early career knowledge exchange professionals.

AURIL membership have a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer to our early career knowledge exchange colleagues and we want to use this to help nurture those new to our sector.

AIMS will establish a framework to provide guidance, experience, wisdom, knowledge and encouragement to those new to knowledge exchange by establishing a network of Mentors.

If you are an early career KE professional and would benefit from the support of a Mentor or, if you are one of our highly experience professionals and would consider supporting an early-career KE professional we’d love to hear from you.
