The Department

The University of Essex has an opportunity for a highly organised and proactive Knowledge Exchange Officer to play a key role in supporting and administering our busy Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) activity to help develop our growing KTP portfolio.

KTP is a three-way project between an ambitious company, a university and a graduate (known as an Associate), which enables the transfer of knowledge, technology and skills to which the company currently has no access.  KTP projects are part funded by Innovate UK and Research Councils. The University of Essex currently has the most KTPs in the East of England and London, recently moved into the top 10 of UK universities for KTP delivery and are the current holders of Innovate UK’s ‘Best of the Best’ KTP Award.

The Role and Duties

We are looking for an ambitious, organised and highly motivated individual to join our KTP Office. You will be professional and confident in dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a project based support role, ideally in a business facing environment. Willingness to travel to meetings outside of the university will also be required. Education to A level standard (or equivalent) as well as education to degree level (or equivalent qualification or level of experience is essential.
