The role:

We are seeking an experienced project manager with a proven track record in supporting SMEs, to lead the Cumbria Innovations Platform (CUSP) project which is an exciting multi-partner project. CUSP will create an entirely new Cumbrian research and innovation gateway allowing companies from the region’s key sectors to form bespoke partnerships with Lancaster University and the University of Cumbria to unlock their innovative potential and maximise their productivity. You will be a self-starter experienced in working in technology transfer, research and development or innovation in a commercial or higher education setting. You will be skilled in building relationships and networks which identify and create opportunities, and balancing this with practical project and contract management tasks, including responsibility for financial performance and progress monitoring to ensure compliance with funder requirements.

Based at our Ambleside campus, you will be required to commit to extensive travel across Cumbria and to Lancaster.

This post attracts funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and you will be required to ensure compliance with the regulations stipulated by the ERDF.
