Working as part of the Research Grants Support Team within the Division of Research and Enterprise, you will provide outstanding specialist research support to University researchers through each stage of the pre-award research process including: supporting the submission of research applications, advising on funder cost rules and maximising cost recovery on grant applications, and accepting/negotiating award or grant agreement terms and conditions.
You will manage your own portfolio of applications and grants from a range of academic departments and Institutes. In addition you will provide specialist advice and pro-active solution-driven support whilst ensuring compliance with funding body rules and University policies and procedures. You will work alongside other team members in the Research Grants Support Teams and colleagues in Research Support Services and beyond in supporting the University’s research objectives to increase awards and income.
One post will be dedicated to support UK public sector & charity funding; the other post will support international public sector and charity funding (including EU).
As the ideal candidate, you will have significant experience in a hands-on HE research administration role and an understanding of diverse funder regulations and various costing methodologies. Outstanding literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
