The University have an exciting fixed term contract opportunity within the Research and Enterprise Division to welcome a Contracts Manager into the team. In this pivotal role, you will provide operational research contract support, primarily directed at research and knowledge transfer activities funded by the private sector, dealing with a large contract portfolio of a range of complexity and requirements, and providing such support with a high level of customer service developing and maintaining positive client and researcher relationships.

We will rely on you to provide first class timely and flexible support for the pursuit of research and knowledge transfer opportunities funded by the business. As the post holder, you will manage a complex portfolio of contracts relating to the research and enterprise activities of the University, managing risk exposure and maximising the benefit of a contract to the University. You will work collaboratively with staff across the Research and Enterprise Division and deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.

As the successful applicant, you will have obtained a first Degree (or equivalent) in science, law or a related discipline or have an equivalent professional qualification. You will have experience of research at PhD or post-doctoral level as well as of research contract negotiation and administration in an HE context. Experience of working with intellectual property would be highly advantageous.
